Refractory Inspection & Quality Control QCI
I provide expert verification of materials for specific chemical and physical properties, ensuring full compliance with project specifications. My core focus is the operational execution of works, covering every critical phase: from installation and inspection to testing and the repair of refractory linings. I believe that proper installation is the essential prerequisite to maximizing the service life of refractories. While installation quality cannot reverse manufacturing deficiencies, it is integral to creating a monolithic refractory lining structure free of structural defects. I ensure that every application optimizes the physical properties of the constituent refractory. Selection of the proper application mode depends on multiple factors—job size, geometry, economics, and the specific technology required. I evaluate these variables to deliver the most effective technical solution for your assets, supervising and certifying a full range of methods: Brickwork & Masonry: Complete management of lining systems, including support ring layout, precise anchor positioning, and the calculation of longitudinal and circumferential thermal expansion gaps. Gunning (Pneumatic Placement): Rigorous control of nozzle techniques, air pressure, and water-to-material ratios to ensure optimal density and prevent internal laminations. Casting & Pumping: Oversight of the entire mixing cycle (water temperature, mixing time, vibration frequency) to prevent air entrapment and segregation in low-cement castables. Ceramic Fiber (RCF/AES): Verification of module compression rates, anchoring patterns, and vapor barrier installation to prevent Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI). Ramming & Plastic Refractories: Ensuring correct layer thickness and pneumatic ramming force to achieve maximum compaction and eliminate internal voids
