Methods for determining the elemental or crystalline
mineral composition of materials using X-rays. In X-ray Fluores-
cence, atoms are excited by primary X-rays (or electrons) and emi
a secondary X-ray radiation characteristic of the elemental compo-
sition of the specimens. The intensity of the secondary radiation
